Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal decided that today was the day to take a stand for straight people who felt under fire by the off chance they might find themselves in the same general vicinity of someone who might be gay, and may be thinking about getting married.

"We don't support discrimination in Louisiana and we do support religious liberty," Jindal said in a statement. "These two values can be upheld at the same time."
"Indeed, we celebrate diversity of belief in Louisiana. Diversity of belief and religious liberty are the foundation of our law and Constitution and they should be protected," he said. "As long as I'm governor, we will fight to protect religious liberty and not apologize for it."
The executive order, which comes after a long fight which shot down efforts by Republicans in the legislature is so popular that tourism and business leaders have referred to it as
"poisonous".
For Jindal though, this may be the sign that he is making headway, as the Twitter sphere of right-wing Republicans are already rushing to his side, and Iowa activists are screaming his name like they are calling to Jesus in the throws of passion - which would be a twist since those who are barking hardest all seem to be the typical white, middle aged men. That's OK. Their love affair with Jindal isn't that kind they can't stand.
Including Republicans naming him "Winner of the Week".

That’s exactly what Louisiana’s Republican legislature was planning on doing this week on religious freedom. The state that is home to Duck Dynasty, perhaps America’s most beloved family of conservative Christians, was poised to genuflect and wave the white flag towards the Cultural Marxists waving the rainbow flag.
Enter Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal.
Jindal immediately stepped in and ordered that while he’s governor the state government is not going to be a tool of the Cultural Marxists’ Rainbow Jihad against religion — particularly Christianity.
“We believe in Louisiana our first freedom is worthy of protection,” Jindal said. “It’s always a good time to defend religious liberty.”
Cultural Marxist Rainbow Jihad. Well, I know who Rainbow Brite is..
But I'm not so familiar with Rainbow Marxist Jihad movement.
Still, today in Louisiana, Bobby Jindal took a stance against them, I suppose. Business leaders are of course, over the moon with joy.

"Companies feel it would make it harder to recruit workers to Louisiana," Greater New Orleans Inc. CEO Michael Heck said during the hearing.
Peterson also spoke from the Senate floor about opposition to the bill by business and tourism groups, noting "not just the mom and pops," but Dow Chemical, IBM and the Convention and Visitors Bureau asked the Legislature not to pass the bill.
"This action seems determined to destroy Louisiana's business climate, especially our tourism industry that brings in millions of dollars every year...He got all the messages and ignored all of them. Purely for a national ambition," she said.
That's OK, they love it in Iowa, where the Republican Clown Winnebago carries on.
